One day in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Sunday, September 10, 2017Somewhere down the middle of our backpacking trip through SE Asia we found ourselves in Kuala Lumpur.
We only had one full day, as the next day in the evening we had our flight to Bali, but for us one day was more than enough.
My personal opinion is that is not much to do in KL, the main attraction being the Petronas Towers, which are amazing by the way, and the surrounding park complex.
Besides that there are a lot of shopping malls, but not the ones for the backpacking traveler.
Another thing to see are the Batu Caves, but we did not go there as they are a bit outside KL so it would have taken to much of our time. Not to mention we've seen similar temples in Thailand and we were heading to Bali, where guess what? We saw more temples. Impressive ones none the less.
How we spent our day in KL then? Well...we admired the Petronas Towers for a while, by day...by night...from up close...from a rooftop bar...well you get the idea.
The top floor at the shopping mall has really good and cheap food, so we've tasted some of the Malaysian cuisine as well.
The next day, before our flight to Bali, we discovered another shopping mall which had a massage chairs presentation. We ended up getting free massages for a couple of hours. Need I mention we tried every chair? Mwuahaha
Keeping it short...Kuala Lumpur was fun!
